Rear Admiral Leoncio Daniel Rodríguez Delfín

He was born on June 7, 1966 in the city of Lima. He joined the Peruvian Naval Academy on March 5, 1984, graduating as Ensign on January 1, 1989, obtaining the First and Sword of Honor of his promotion, participating as a guest officer in the 6th. Circumnavigation trip on board the Sail Training Ship "Brasil".

He is a specialist in Electronics and Communications, as well as in Surface Warfare. Graduated in the following programs: Basic Staff at the Naval War College, the Staff Course (Naval Staff College, Class 52) at the U.S. Naval War College, Special Course of the Joint Staff, and of the Civic Military Operations Course at WHINSEC in Georgia.

He holds a Master's Degree in Administration and a Doctorate in Administration from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, a Master's Degree in Development and National Defense at the National High Studies Center and a Senior Management Program at Universidad de Piura.

He is been on board Peruvian Navy ships like B.A.P. Carvajal, on B.A.P. Larrea, Commander of the Division of Missile Fighters and Destroyers, on B.A.P. Mariátegui, Executive Commander on B.A.P. De los Heros and B.A.P. Villavisencio and Commanding Officer on B.A.P. Aguirre.

During his tenure ashore, he has been Chief of Company Platoon "B" and  Communications Officer of the Light Combat Battalion Nro3, Chief of the Operations Division of the Naval Tactical Training Center, Production Manager and Deputy Head of the Electronic Sima / Service of Weapons and Electronics , Operations Officer, Chief of the Bureau of Internal Front Plans and of the Bureau of Plans of the External Front of the General Command of Pacific Operations, Chief of the Planning Section of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces and Chief of the Section of Operations of the Policy and Strategy Department of the Navy Chief of Staff.

During 2010 and 2011 he was Naval Attaché Attached to the Embassy of Peru in the United States of America. In 2012 he served as Chief of Staff of the Second Naval Zone, and during 2013 he served as Logistics Director of the General Directorate of Captaincies and Coastguards. 2014 was Commander on B.A.P. Aguirre, until July 1 that he assumed as Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Operations Command

In 2016, the Government granted him the promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral and was appointed Director of Concessions of the Navy, a function he held until 2017.
On January 1, 2018, he will perform duties in the Ministry of Defense
