Captain Juan Carlos Ricardo Llosa Pazos

He was born on November 18, 1969. He entered the Navy on March 1, 1988, graduating on December 7, 1992 as Alférez de Fragata.

He is qualified in Surface Warfare, and Systems Engineering. He has followed the courses of Intelligence by Correspondence, Basic Staff, Command and Resident Staff. He has completed the Naval High Command Program, and has also completed a specialization in Corporate Communication. He has a Master's degree in Maritime Strategy from the Naval War College and is a graduate of the Master's programs in Political Science with mention in Comparative Politics and Cultural Management, Heritage and Tourism.

During his service on board, he was Chief of the 3rd. Control Division Breakdowns at BAP Aguirre, Head of the Administration Department at BAP Zorritos, Head of the 2nd. Engineer Division at BAP Paita, Communications Officer at BAP Zorritos, Communications Officer at BAP Pisco, Head of the 1st Division of the Breakdown Control Department at BAP Almirante Grau, Second Commander at BAP Callao, Second Commander in BAP Mollendo, Commander of BAP Eten.

He has been Head of the Academic Training Division at the Higher Institute of Naval Public Technology - CITEN, Chief of the Communications Section at the Commander of the Surface Flotilla Nº 1, Head of the Patrimonial Assets Office at the General Directorate of the Material of the Navy, Head of the Information Office in the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, Head of the Surface War School, Commander of the Naval Base of Chimbote, Director of the Joint School of the Armed Forces in the Ministry of Defense, and Sub-Director of Information of the Navy. He currently serves as Chief of the Naval Service of the Navy.
