Rear Admiral Eugenio Rey Sánchez Solano

He was born on January 2, 1967 in Lima. He entered the Navy on March 1, 1984, graduating on January 1, 1989 as Alférez de Fragata.
He is qualified in Electronics and Surface Warfare. He has followed important courses such as Intelligence by Correspondence, Basic Staff, Command and Staff, Maritime Policy and National Security Program, Information Security, Naval Teachers. Holds a Master's degree in Maritime Strategy.
During his service on board he has served as Communications Officer at BAP Montero, Chief of the 3rd. Division of Operations at the BAP Mariátegui, Head of the Operations Department at BAP Villavisencio. He has become Second Commander of BAP Villavisencio, Commander of BAP Carvajal, and Commander of BAP Guardiamarina San Martín.
Among the most outstanding positions that the aforementioned naval authority has played, the following stand out: Squad Leader in the Light Combat Battalion 2, Officer in Charge of 3rd. year at the Naval School of Peru, Head of the Office of Systems in the Directorate of Health and Naval Medical Center, Head of the Training Department at the Naval Tactical Training Center, Head of the Personnel Section at the Commander of the Squadron.
Likewise, Head of the Office of Acquisitions in the Direction of Naval Enlistment, Head of the 4th. Section in the Secretary of the General Command of the Navy, Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the United States of America, Sub-Director of Material Resources for Defense in the Ministry of Defense. The last year and a half he has served as Head of the Research Department in the Joint Command of the Armed Forces.
In 2017, the government grants him the rank of Rear Admiral and is appointed Commander of the Fourth Naval Zone (covering Ucayali, Cusco, Madre de Dios, and Apurímac). In 2018, he assumed the position of Commander of the Second Naval Zone.
